It's February 10, 2013 and can you guess what that means?
It is now the Year Of The Snake!!
For those of you who don't know much about Chinese New Year, I would say that it is kinda of like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and The Forth of July combined. (Sorry if that makes no sense, but it's hard to describe.)
On this day, we are suppose to celebrate the coming of a new year and fresh beginnings. We spend time with family and friends and enjoy everything we have. For me I live in the U.S. while the rest of my family is in China, so today I will be making lots of phone calls back home!
Typically on Chinese New Year, children and adults are suppose to wear a set of new clothes. Today, I chose to wear this cute outfit to celebrate.
I have on a light pink cami under my redish/pink blouse. In China, red symbolizes happiness and luck which is why I chose to put a hint of red into my outfit. I tucked my blouse into a white skirt and finished the look off with a pair of black flats and a beaded bracelet.
Since it was Chinese New Year, I decided to put my hair up. I usually dislike putting my hair up for anything but running, but today was special!
After this post and a few phone calls, ... I have to go and shovel snow =0 haha... I live in the Northeast and Nemo hit us on Friday. My city got hit with ~ 30 inches of snow!!! Crazy right.? The snow is literally up to my hips/thighs in some areas!

Do you celebrate Chinese New Years?
I do and I love it. It's a day to spend with loved ones and enjoy great food!
Were you at all affected by Nemo?
I was and I now need to shovel over 2 ft. of snow from our driveway! haha. Wish me luck!
I lov that girly style, very nice ;)
