There is no need to find Nemo, Nemo found us!
As you guys may know, this past weekend the Northeast was hit with a huge blizzard by the name of Nemo! This storm dropped quite a bit of snow on top of our little city. In fact, we got 30 inches (76 cm) of it where I live! The snow was so high that it nearly covered out cars!
Just imagine the shoveling that needed to be done to get the roads and sidewalk clear!
There was this one part in my neighborhood where the snow was incredibly high. What happened was a parking lot near my house needed to be cleared and they cleaned it by shoving all the snow into a massive pile that ended up being taller than me!

Sorry for the bad photo, but I wanted to show you the height comparison. |
Despite all this snow on the ground however, temperatures were fairly warm when I took these pictures which explains why I am not in a jacket! The redness in my face is caused by the hours of shoveling before hand. The pile of snow, as you can tell, was so high, I was able to climb onto of it and sit there! It was crazy I tell you! Never had I ever seen this much snow at one time!
For my outfit that day, I had something light on. I know it doesn't look too warm and you might be wondering how I didn't freeze, but trust me, the temps. were quite spring like on that day. My outfit choice was enough to keep me warm around all that snow, but not too warm that I wouldn't work up a sweat while shoveling!
My outfit for this snowy day consisted of a green colored tank top layered under a gray and white stripped cardigan. I paired this long cardigan with a set of thick black leggings and some gray boots to keep my feet warm!
Cardigan- Kohls
Leggings- Forever 21
Boots- Payless
Were you affected by Nemo?
What is the most amount of snow you have ever got?
Here is just 1 more photo of the crazy snow/ice we got! These icicles were the longest ones I have ever seen!
great photos :))

Haha , I was!!
DeleteOkay, those snow are C-R-A-Z-Y!!!!!! You can even CLIMB and SIT on it, omgeebbq!!! AND in those clothing too!! Though you said the weather is quite spring like, simply looking at the amount of snow is enough to freeze me up when I am on my seat! Hahahaha!
ReplyDeleteHope you guys won't have too hard of a time shoveling it ._. Hope Nemo will be good and go away as fast as it came >_<
And those icicles. Gee, free mother nature murder weapon <.>
I really love your boots but Payless in my country does not sell shoes like that because we are a tropical country so there's no need to keep our feet warm. If anything we need a pair of shoes that comes with a fan! Haha!

haha! Yeah!! I couldn't believe that it was not only taller than me but like 2/3x the height of me!
DeleteIt is so strange because the temps. have been quite warm for the past few days though the snow is just very slowly melting. I think that is because it gets freezing at nighttime, but during the day, we are in the 40s! haha, my mom told me to stay away from those icicles!
A shoe with a fan! That would be quite useful for me when summer hits!
O myyyyyy isn't that incredibly cold! I wouldn't survive if my country would ever get hit by a snowstorm like that.... lol :P
