Cherry Blossoms

I'm feeling super excited right now since today is the first day of JUNE and tomorrow is my senior field trip! I've never been to the place where we are going to tomorrow so I'm curious to see what there is to do there. I've heard it's a lot of fun and there is even a pool there.. perfect time to wear my new bikini! I just have to remember sunscreen or else I'm going to sunburned for prom!
This upcoming week is going to be my last full week of senior year! It's feels surreal and I can't make it seem real. After this week, I have a 3 day week followed by finals which I don't have to show up for. Then, I just wait for graduation rehearsal and graduation itself!

My outfit today features a lovely printed cardigan. I think I got this cardigan at the end of last year and I really love it. The cardigan has a beautiful print of cherry blossoms! I actually should have worn this under the cherry blossoms when they were in bloom now that I think of it haha. Anyways, this particular cardigan is super soft and fits very comfortably on me. It's a bit on the lighter side, but that just makes it perfect for the spring! Underneath my cardigan, I chose to wear a black cami.

To go along with my cherry blossom cardigan, I am wearing a pair of dark gray jeans. I feel like it's been so long since I've worn jeans, but the weather was a bit cooler and I could not let my legs freeze. This pair of jeans I have had for the longest time.. I think I got it at the beginning of freshman year! The jeans are very stretchy haha which explains why they still fit now though I've discovered a little rip in them recently. The hole is hidden very well, but I'm not sure how much longer these jeans will last before the hole gets too big. I love these so much!

I kept things simple with my jewlery with just a silver bangle with three hearts on it. For my shoes, I opted for a pair of black flats. Like my jeans, I've been wearing the life out of these flats! These particular flats actually used to be my younger sisters but she grew out of them and gave them to me. Either I have tiny feet or she has huge feet haha. Nevertheless, the flats are quite comfy so I've been wearing them a lot recently to the point where they might break soon!

For these photos, I opted to take them on my porch instead of outside since the weather wasn't looking too promising. I could tell that the skies were becoming darker and there was just this "smell of rain" in the air if you know what I mean. I made the right choice since within 5 minutes of snapping pictures, rain started coming down non stop! It was one of those sudden rainstorms that happen to me a lot in the summer haha. I remember last summer, I was always unlucky and I'd be outside running when these showers hit!

Cardigan- Sold out.. but I got it at Shabby Apple
Cami- Forever 21

What do you think of my cardigan?

  5. Congratulations on your almost-graduation! :D Really love the outfit, and the cardigan is my favorite piece! It's so perfect and lovely for spring and summer. ♥! I wear the life out of pretty much every single pair of jeans I've ever owned. lol I wear them out fairly quickly though too ;___; I always wear holes in them where my thighs touch/rub when I walk lol! #thunderthighproblems haha!

    1. Thank you~!! I am almost there!!
Yes, a cardigan is essential and perfect for most seasons! haha you are not the only one with that problem! It actually happened to two of my jeans, but I never attributed it to my thunder thighs haha. I guess that is the reasoning behind it!!

  9. Hey girl! Long time no see--I was so excited to read your comment from a few days ago but just now found the time to get back to you because of all these grad parties (I went to 8 yesterday alone haha). Anyways, one, it's so nice to have someone to share all the senior experiences with in another state. I totally feel you on the senioritis because it is so real for everyone haha (even if we swear we'll never get it. I ended up hacking out a 10 page paper in 4 days...luckily I did fine!) And you're be just fine as well, though it sounds like things have already wound down for you. Prom and then graduation will be fab! Your dress is absolutely stunning and I'm so happy that you have a sweet date who asked you with gorgeous flowers. Also, congrats on selecting a college as well! I know how hard it was for you between NYU and UConn because it's a big decision (I ended up making a pro/con list and asking countless people for advice). There are so many factors, the money one can really be a downer--I had to rule a few out immediately because of inadequate financial aid. In the end, I think we both made the smart decision. And hey, we're only an hour or so apart! We'll definitely need to meet up sometime :) Anyways, good luck to you as the year winds down and have an incredible time at prom!!

P.S. You look great in contacts! I'm actually thinking about getting some as well, haha. And as for prom hairdos, classic curls would look so pretty on you or a fun updo like this: http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/1e/69/06/1e690676265d9d99181d2c85fdbedc6a.jpg. And I'm sure you've googled styles already, but a few of these were stunning https://www.google.com/search?q=prom+updos&es_sm=122&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=ZNmLU83HE4yWqAadooLYCw&ved=0CCoQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=635#imgdii=_

Hope it helps! Can't wait to hear all about everything!

    1. Hey Lily!! I'm so glad to see your comment too!! It's so cool that we are both in similar positions right now in our lives!!
I get what you are saying about being crazy busy! I haven't even graduated or gotten to the grad parties yet and I'm so busy even right now! ohh wow, that sounds just like me! Our english teacher assigned a research paper for us and I was being good and starting it but then I did not touch it for a week + until 2 days before it was due!
I'm so excited for prom! It's this weekend and after prom , I only have 3 more days of classes and then I'm finished and just have to wait for grdautation! (since I have no finals!) And yes, the college decision was sooo hard!! I literally cried tears because of it! NY is where my heart is, but I just didn't think NYU was the right school for a few reasons. Uconn fit me better, but man the location is a killer! At least I'll have more time to bond with my classmates since we are in farmland right lol?

Yes, lets meet up sometimes!!! Your going to do amazing in college as well and thank you for those hairstyles! I def. saw a few that I love in the 2nd link you gave. The 1st styles is so pretty too!! I just lack the skills needed to do it!! haha
