It's All so Close!

Graduation is sooo close! It's only a month and a half away!! After putting all my senior events on the calendar, I realized that I am going to have something big going on each week leading up to my graduation which is just crazy. I feel like these new few weeks are just going to fly by and while I'm excited, I can't help but feel a bit sad that it's all over soon!
As I look back, all my high school years seem to have blended together and it kinda feels like I was just a freshman!! I can't believe it. I kinda feel like I want to go back and relive senior year (which has been the best year ever!), but I'll just have to make these last few weeks count! I honestly feel like I have changed so much in just this year and I have heard that this is only the start.. I'm just speechless right now how quick it's all going!

Seagull On Roof
Check out this adorable Seagull haha!
I'm going to start my post out on a positive note and say that the weather has been so comfortable lately! It's warm without being extremely hot. The sun is out and there is a slight breeze in the air which I love. I just want to spend a whole day outside to enjoy it! I'll be able to once my test are over I hope! I actually also took some time to fix my toes this weekend! The color is "back to the fuchsia" and I love how bright it is!!

Studying For Ap Test

milano mint chocolate cookie
This gets me through my studying!
So my weekend has been pretty much looking something like these two photos.. Ap test are this week and well, I've been trying to keep my motivation up for studying! It's not a good thing, but I have had this lack of motivation to do anything school related lately.. It's senioritis.. I've been trying to keep it away, but looking at calculus and english poems is driving me insane!
It also doesn't help when I realize that my score on this exam doesn't really matter and for calculus, even if I pass (which I doubt since I just took the test... haha) I need to retake the class again since I know for sure that I did not master the material! Meeh this is such a bad attitude to have.. I need to get over it.. I mean tomorrow is technically my last AP test and then I'll be more or less free from half of my classes! I really wish that senior year could go on just a little bit longer just without all the work and test!

repairing awapuhi ginger shampoo review

Revlon Sparkling nail polish

Along with all the studying I've been doing, I've also made some recent beauty purchases. The first item here is the repairing awapuhi ginger shampoo. There's actually a lot of products in this line and I was overwhelmed by all the choices I had. I'm pretty sure I spent a good deal of time just reading the back of bottles at the store. Eventually I gave up on reading and just opened all the bottles and smelled each one. I ended picking the awapuhi ginger one since it smelt the best! Now that the weather is warmer, I find that my hair literally needs washing everyday especially since I sweat so much when I run! I know it's not good to wash everyday, but just feel so uncomfortable if I don't.
The other items that I got were two polishes from Revlon. The pink sparkle polish was originally for someone else, but after seeing how pretty it was, I needed a bottle for myself hehe. The other polish is just a simple clear polish. This clear polish is one of my favorites since I love how smooth and almost water like it is. Some people might dislike this, but I love it since it makes it easier to apply. . The only downside is that I tend to use up the polish much faster since I use a lot more of it.

Candies Glasses

You might remember in my last post how I went glasses free? Well I've decided to give contacts a try! I have made an appointment for next week and I'm not sure what will happen at that appointment or if I will even get my contacts, but I'm going to test some contacts out to see if I like them! Wish me luck!!

Uconn Class of 2018

Along with all the high school I've been thinking about such as senior skip day and prom, I also have college to think about. It's so hard for me to think about both things at once. I feel like I'm ending a chapter and starting a new one and it's scaring me!! I have an overnight orientation in a few weeks and I'm pretty excited! I have to do a lot though before including a set of 10 quizzes and a math placement test!

Funny story here, I actually started taking one of those technology quizzes on accident before even studying the material. The quiz was about technology and basically orientation of the college. I knew almost nothing and I wanted to stop the quiz so I could learn the information first, but it turns out that I only had one shot at the quiz and I had a 1 hour time limit. I literally freaked out when I saw that and just goggled the questions about techology and made educational guesses for the others haha. I ended with a B which is good since I'm pretty sure this quiz is set to pass/fail which means I passed!!
Lesson learned here.. don't hit start until your ready! I have 9 more chances to put my lesson into action haha!

How has your week been so far?
Do any of you wear contacts? Do you find them better than glasses?
Have any of you started something on accident and realized you couldn't stop like me with my test? haha, I literally freaked out when I realized I had to finish it!

  4. I totally feel you about the everyday hair washing. I go to the gym at my work place and I cannot stand not hitting the showers right after. I've tried to just wash my hair with water so that at least the product isn't stripping my hair of oils everyday, but I swear it feels even worse for some reason!

Contacts are pretty great! Especially if you're active. No raindrops falling on your glasses and blocking your vision, no fogging up the lenses when it's cold out, hahaha. They take some time to get used to, though, and have to be taken care of. If I wasn't so lazy, I'd probably wear my contacts everyday, lolz.

    1. Yes that is exactly how I feel!! I just can't go to sleep with all the sweat in my hair! I've tried not using conditioner and it seems to help for a while, but then my hair gets so tangled that I'm forced to use it again!

ohh your so right about the raindrops blocking your vision and the fogging (which happens since I 'm a heavy breather when running haha!) I'll probably end up wearing both my glasses and contacts!

  6. I can't believe graduation is coming so quickly too!! Ugh, I have so much to do this month!! Good luck with all your studying! You'll do fine; me, on the other hand, must try harder and do better in school!! >"< Yay~ for contacts!! I find it dizzy to wear them in the beginning, but you'll get used to it :) Plus, it's not as well as glasses for me, but I don't wear it for school or reading so I'm fine about that. Good luck and enjoy the last few weeks of school! xx

  8. Totally understand what you mean! I miss my high school days so terribly and I remember during the last few weeks of it I was kind of hoping the days would stretch out a bit longer (especially after all my final exams!) so I could spend a few more days hanging out with my friends :\ But of course end of school year means exciting events to look forward to like graduation and prom :) I'm sure you and your friends will find time to still hang out and reminisce about your high school days every once in a while even after going to different colleges :)

And yay sister! I currently have my toe nails in bright pink too! I super looove how attention-seeking and bright they look like especially when you pair them with dark sandals haha! :D

Also, I definitely think that contacts are much better than glasses, although I seldom wear them. Ironic, I know hahaha! But I would definitely choose to wear contacts rather than my glasses. They make you look like you have perfect eyesight and you don't have to worry about glasses slipping down your nose!

Anyway good luck for your tests and enjoy your last few weeks in high school :)

PS. that online quiz panic moment? Always happens to me haha!

    1. ohhh It makes me a little sad that it's all ending soon. . I wish it would stretch for like a whole month! I'm going to miss everyone, but at the same time, I know that there are a lot of exciting things going on and that there is a lot of things open for me in college ! I really hope some of us stay in touch still!

Yes, attention seeking nails are the best!! I love getting compliments on my nails haha. I probably would be the same way since I'm so lazy, but it's nice to have them on hand in case I do want to wear them! Having glasses slide down all the time is so annoying!!

  19. Congrats on UCONN! I'm going to be leaving for college this fall and it's both exciting and frightening at times. First though, I need to get through all my AP tests and graduate. D:

I took the French SAT Subject test last year after three years of French (one of them was spent watching Winnie the Poo and forgetting everything I had learned). After about five questions, I knew I had failed the exam.

    1. ohh we are in the same boat here!! It's awesome that we're all going through the same things haha I have to get through my ap test (done) and graduate and college will be here for me in the fall!!
ohh man that sucks.. but I think you did better then you think!! You are brave for taking the French SAT! I took french for only 2 years and I gave it up my 3rd year since it was too hard!

  23. Congratulations, Mindy! Woot woot! So much awaits! Anyway, I've had contacts since I was 12 (my mom was friends with the ophthalmologist so I got away with it muahahaha) it's so much better for me. At first I forget that I still have them on at the last minute but I've learned to live with them and be mindful. Nothing really bad happens if you just take care of them and not abuse your eyes. Follow everything that the doctor says (dont sleep with them on, remove them if they yada yada). It's great for me because I have an active lifestyle (always bumping into people, running over things and eating fast--yep, that counts as active). I have been considering laser treatment but then I'd have no excuse as to why I wear contacts (I have colored ones) *wink wink

haha I def. will not sleep with them on and clean them daily , but I have an active life too so I'm hoping that contacts will be better.. plus makeup is funnier when I don't have glasses over my eyes!

  29. I love the sparkly nail polish. :D

I once bought a pair of contacts, which were usable for 3 months... and I wasn't fully happy with them. Yes, I can go without glasses which is a plus since even the most best looking & priciest glasses make me look ugly, but I hate putting them on. It's uncomfortable & I can't bring myself to do this every day.

Hahah, no never happened to me... but a B isn't bad, is it!? ;)
