With my time home, I was able to work on a few essays and get some things organized! Today I want to share with you guys some things that I have gotten/occurred in the past few days!
I saw these adorable lip glosses on a display one day and I was intrigued to see what they were all about. Let me tell you how much of a struggle it was for me to open it to test out the color. I kept thinking that these were lipsticks and my initial thought was to pull the product cap off to use it. I probably embarrassed myself quite badly at the store because I could not figure out why the caps wouldn't come off! After my long struggle, something must have clicked inside my head because I decided to twist the cap and voila, it opened. What came out was a shock. This was not a lipstick, but rather a lip gloss!!! The design for this is genius!!! I really love it and because of it, I had to pick some up. I got the colors dashing orchid, blush essence, and fuchsia flourish. So far I have only used dashing orchid and blush essence and I really love the way it looks! It's not long lasting, but it so moisturizing and that is a huge selling point for me!
The next items that I've recently gotten is this cc cream from physicians formula. It is for my sister, but I can't lie and say that I'm not interested in it. I don't wear full face makeup often, but lately I've been doing some research on BB and CC creams. It seems that just this past year, the popularity of these creams have exploded in the US and now every major makeup has at least one BB or CC cream. I haven't been that fond of the creams here though since I feel that a lot of them are just foundations with added ingredients. I'm a bit interested though to try some of the Asian BB or CC creams that have actual ingredients that help your skin. I want something that it like a continuation of my skincare products with a bit of makeup to it! I have been watching a lot of youtube reviews of bb creams and I have a long list of products that I want to try. I just have to narrow it down now! (I'll update you on my choices once I make it!)
You might be wondering why I paired the next two items together .. hehe. Ice cream and chapstick? Well for starters, they are both green! hehe. The chapstick is from Nivea and it's flavor is called oilve oil and lemon. I have to say that the scent of this chapstick is very unique. It's a very strong herby scent and I personally do not feel that it has any resemblance of either olive oil or lemon. (what does olive oil even smell like? =) I do love the chapstick though because the scent of it is something that I really love. The scent actually resembles green to me... in fact the scent is exactly the same as the taste of the Haagen-Dazs green tea flavored ice cream! When I first smelt the chapstick I thought of the ice cream I had just had a few days ago! On a side note here, the green tea ice cream from Haagen-Dazs is also delicious!!
Now that we have moved from makeup to food, I'll show you some delicious treats I've had recently! A while back, I decided to try baking for the first time in forever! I chose to make some oatmeal cookies with the recipe I found on the inside of the oatmeal container =) Let's say that I'm not much of a cook or baker.. my cookies turned out edible, but very hard and oatmeally... I think I put in too much oatmeal hehe!
Another treat I had this week are these chocolate! They are from Russell Stover and I love them! I consider them my Valentines gift to myself =)
Last but not least, I have more acceptance letters from Hofstra and URI!!! It's pretty exciting, but at the same time, I'm still waiting for some of my higher/reach colleges to get back to me. I hope I don't see a rejection letter since that will hurt a bit! I'm not really considering URI, but Hofstra is one of my top choices so I'm glad that I got in with a scholarship!! I'm just thinking it would probably be a good idea to visit these colleges soon. I'm thinking in March after I turn 18 so I can go by myself! It's much easier that way!
Have you tried the Maybelline Elixir's before?
What treats have you been baking/cooking recently?
Do you have any recommendations for Asian BB or CC creams that actually help your face/skin? =)
