If I ever did that, I think I'd have a heart attack...

I bet you're wondering what the tittle is all about?? Before you worry, I am not going to have an actual heart attack.. These are actually the lyrics to Demi Lovato's new song Heart Attack!
I don't know if I have ever mentioned this before on my blog, but I am a huge fan of Demi Lovato and all her music!
Now her song was actually suppose to be released on March 4 ( which just so happens to be my birthday!), but she gave her fans a surprise and released it a this Monday around midnight. I literally am in love with the song! The lyrics are so true and the beat is amazing! If you haven't heard it yet, go check it out!

Now this brings me to my outfit post of the day-

The temperature are certainly warming up, but the snow is not budging. This was from ~ 2 weeks ago when Nemo hit us and left us buried in snow.
For my outfit, I wanted to keep to the theme of Demi's new song and wear something more on the girly side.
Heart Attack, according to Demi, is about taking that risk to fall in love. Demi mentions how she would act all girly when she is in love, but at the same time put a guard up around that guy.

Heart Attack is a song that resonates with me and many others as well I bet. I mean I have definitely had times in my life where I would go out of my way to impress someone else. I have also had times where I would become so nervous that I would avoid my crush by all means.. Kinda ironic though seeing how I spent  so much time trying to look good right? haha

My outfit here is one that I would wear to something like a lunch date or to the movies. It's casual yet dress at the same time. I wore a pair of skinny jeans paired with a floral printed top. I also wore a black cardigan and some sparkly black flats. I love the bright pink flowers on this top since they add a huge pop of color to any outfit. In my hair, I had in a little floral bow clip to match my shirt!

Maybe all this flower print and the release of Demi's new song is a sign that spring is just around the corner? I love winter and all (it is my favorite season), but it has been just rainy and windy the past few days with patches of snow on the ground!

Mini Jewelry Haul

Last week, I was very fortunate to have a nice and long FOUR day weekend! Honestly, I didn't do much that weekend, but it was relaxing not to have to wake up at 5:45 every morning. During the break, I was able to get time to visit the mall with my friend! I was super excited because I have not spent time with my friends that often every since midterms!
We spent quite a bit of our ~4 hour shopping trip just talking/eating at the food court, but I did also pick up a few jewelry pieces. I am not much of an accessories or jewelry type of person since I find them distracting, but I just love collecting pieces. I like having jewelry just to have it, but not wear.. (strange, I know haah)
Most of my pieces were purchased at Charlotte Russe since they were having an amazing 2 for $10 sale and who can resist that??

This is the colorful enamel bangle set. I am in love this coral color.
A very cute bracelet. I love the little rose charm on it!

A huge bow ring. The color is quite similar to those of the bangles.
A gold colored ring with the words" Love you" engraved into it.
Another gold ring with light pink swirls.
This is probably my favorite purchase out of everything. It's a tiny rose colored ring with rhinestones on the end of it.

Now this next necklace isn't one that I purchased on my shopping trip, but rather one that I made by myself! I take a jewelry class in school and this was part of out chain making project. It took a long time to complete, but I am proud of the end result!

Links to the pieces I brought. I tried finding the exact jewelry, but it seems that some have sold out or aren't available anymore. If that is the case, I will try and link to a similar item.

What have been your most recent purchases?
When it comes to jewelry, are you a fan of silver pieces or gold pieces?
For me personally, I find silver to be more flattering on me. However, now that I look back on my shopping trip, it looks like I purchased more gold colors than anything! haha

Studs Lover Feat. Haute Juncture

This is part 2 to my last post about Haute Juncture.

It seems to me that studs are everywhere at the moment and to be honest, I have never really been that into them. I usually am quite the girly girl and I always feel that studs are too bold for my personality. Over the past few months however, I have been seeing studs on just about every type of clothing item and I became curious as to whether or not I could actually pull them off!
And that is where Haute Juncture came in! Thanks to them, I was able to receive this lovely studded shoulder crop top from them!

This crop top absolutely adorable! The shirt itself is super soft (seeing as it's made from 100% cotton!) and features a set of studs on the shoulders. The top also has a ribbed neckline and a raw edge hem. I love the hem line to this shirt as I find it to match well with the edginess of the studs!

One thing I enjoy about the top is how it is a mix of girly and punk. The top itself is super nice and with the  rustic gold colored studs, it adds a level of punk. These studs will stand out and can easily add interest to any outfit.

For my outfit today, I paired my studded crop top with a pair of dark wash jeggings! (Don't we all just love jeggings. I mean the look of jeans without all the tugging and pulling of jeans!) For my shoes, I wanted to keep myself feeling glam and girly with a pair of these Ugg Luciannas! Now we all know that I can't walk gracefully even in wedges, so this outfit is made for the movie or dinner with friends. If I went to the mall with these shoes, I would most likely be coming home with a twisted ankle!

If you guys are looking to incorporate studs into your wardrobe, I would say go for it! You can try some studded boots, shorts, jackets or even a studded shirt like the one I'm wearing. Studs are even affordable for people of all budgets. After wearing this studded shirt, I know I surely will be on the lookout for more studs to add to my closet!

Shoes- Uggs

Are you guys fans of studs?
How do you wear studs?
Are any of you experts in walking with wedges or heels? Tips for clumsy me? haha

My Belted Indie Dress Feat. Haute Juncture

Last Friday as I came home from school, I discovered a package at my doorsteps. Inside this package were some clothes that the lovely Jenny over at Haute Juncture sent to me for review. I was quite surprise when I got the clothes since I expected them to come next week. There shipping was super speedy!
For the review, I was sent a belted indie dress and a studded shoulder crop top. Both pieces were beautiful and I had a lot of fun styling and wearing them. Today, I will be showing you guys the belted indie dress.

As you can tell, all that snow from last week  is still here. I'm thinking it's going to take quite a while before it is all gone. Unlike last time though, it was super cold and windy (30mph) when I took these photos. It was near impossible to keep my hair neat, however; the wind made for some beautiful shots of the dress!

Overall, I love the clothes over at Haute Juncture. There prices are fair and all the items are quite affordable for anyone looking for some new clothes. There selection of clothes and accessories are really nice too. They have everything from tops and dresses to bottoms and even outerwear.
The website was easy for me to work and the setup made it simple for me to find what I was looking for.

The quality of the dress was fantastic. The material it was made of seemed quite durable and the color of the dress was incredibly vibrant. The dress itself was a dusty gold color while the designs were bright shades of red blue and green. I love the way the colors contrasted with one another.

For my outfit today, I chose to pair this gorgeous dress with a gold colored necklace and some black flats. (flats and snow.. yup call me crazy!) Sticking with the Indie theme, I decided to tie my hair up into a side braid!

Finding Nemo

There is no need to find Nemo, Nemo found us!

As you guys may know, this past weekend the Northeast was hit with a huge blizzard by the name of Nemo! This storm dropped quite a bit of snow on top of our little city. In fact, we got 30 inches (76 cm) of it where I live! The snow was so high that it nearly covered out cars!
Just imagine the shoveling that needed to be done to get the roads and sidewalk clear!

There was this one part in my neighborhood where the snow was incredibly high. What happened was a parking lot near my house needed to be cleared and they cleaned it by shoving all the snow into a massive pile that ended up being taller than me!

Sorry for the bad photo, but I wanted to show you the height comparison.

Despite all this snow on the ground however, temperatures were fairly warm when I took these pictures which explains why I am not in a jacket! The redness in my face is caused by the hours of shoveling before hand. The pile of snow, as you can tell, was so high, I was able to climb onto of it and sit there! It was crazy I tell you! Never had I ever seen this much snow at one time!

For my outfit that day, I had something light on. I know it doesn't look too warm and you might be wondering how I didn't freeze, but trust me, the temps. were quite spring like on that day.  My outfit choice was enough to keep me warm around all that snow, but not too warm that I wouldn't work up a sweat while shoveling!
My outfit for this snowy day consisted of a green colored tank top layered under a gray and white stripped cardigan. I paired this long cardigan with a set of thick black leggings and some gray boots to keep my feet warm!

Happy Chinese New Year!

It's February 10, 2013 and can you guess what that means?
It is now the Year Of The Snake!!
For those of you who don't know much about Chinese New Year,  I would say that it is kinda of like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and The Forth of July combined. (Sorry if that makes no sense, but it's hard to describe.)
On this day, we are suppose to celebrate the coming of a new year and fresh beginnings. We spend time  with family and friends and enjoy everything we have. For me I live in the U.S. while the rest of my family is in China, so today I will be making lots of phone calls back home!

Typically on Chinese New Year, children and adults are suppose to wear a set of new clothes. Today, I chose to wear this cute outfit to celebrate.

I have on a light pink cami under my redish/pink blouse. In China, red symbolizes happiness and luck which is why I chose to put a hint of red into my outfit. I tucked my blouse into a white skirt and finished the look off with a pair of black flats and a beaded bracelet.

Since it was Chinese New Year, I decided to put my hair up. I usually dislike putting my hair up for anything but running, but today was special!

After this post and a few phone calls, ... I have to go and shovel snow =0 haha... I live in the Northeast and Nemo hit us on Friday. My city got hit with ~ 30 inches of snow!!!  Crazy right.? The snow is literally up to my hips/thighs in some areas!

Do you celebrate Chinese New Years?
I do and I love it. It's a day to spend with loved ones and enjoy great food!
Were you at all affected by Nemo?
I was and I now need to shovel over 2 ft. of snow from our driveway! haha. Wish me luck!

Valentine's Day Outfit Inspiration

I still can't believe it's 2013, let along February!  In just a little over a week (8 days), it's going to be Valentine's Day! This means pink hearts, flowers, delicious chocolate, and teddy bears the size of me floating around everywhere! And if you are single like me, it means a whole day to yourself with a box of chocolate!

Now you might be wondering what to wear on this lovely holiday which is what this post is about!
Here is one idea for a Valentine's Day outfit. This look is super cute and perfect for a dinner date or evening out on Valentine's Day. I like this look since it is fancy enough to go out on a date in, yet it also easy enough to put together and isn't uncomfortable.

For this outfit, I chose to wear a V-neck black shirt tucked into my pink mini skirt. The skirt was a bodycon   style. Just a word of caution, when wearing tight skirts, make sure to watch out for any lines before heading out. Nothing says embarrassment  than having your underwear lines show through!

For my accessories, I wore a pair of diamond stud earrings and a set of bangles! For shoes, I had on a pair of sparkly flats in black to match my top. I am in love with these flats since they have a cute little bow near the front. I think they are perfect for Valentine's Day!

Seeing as in most places, it won't be 60+ in temperatures, you can easily make this outfit more winter proof by paring it with a cardigan or a jacket. For you legs, a pair of patterned tights would look amazing with this outfit and keep you warm!

Ogorgeous Gym Bag Review

It's been about 2 weeks since I received my own Ogorgeous bag from Weighttraining.com and Blogilates! The bag that I got was the Beverly Bow Tie Bag in French Rose
(Read more about that here
Sadly, I have been so caught up with school work and other daily life stress that I have yet to carry this bag out, but nevertheless, I do plan on using it soon! It's super cute and I can't wait to show it off!

The bag is a pretty nice size. It's a lot bigger than I envisioned, but that is okay because I have a lot to carry. I can see myself carrying this bag anywhere! Cassey mentions that Ogorgeous bag can be used for multiple occasions (not just the gym!) I agree, especially since I don't belong to a gym! For me, this bag is perfect for carrying to school and even on an overnight trip! The bag has so much space inside for your items and it has compartments for literally everything including hidden pockets as well for important items or a yoga bag!
The "hidden pocket" to hold some small items or a yoga bag!

A handy compartment for a laptop!
Pockets to place electric chords/cards/ID's.. etc.
Mesh Pockets for your water bottle to stay hydrated!
A little hook to lock your keys.
I love the little key hook part that you see above! I am the type of person to always  lose their keys. This hook makes it much harder for me to misplace them. The inside of this bag, as you can tell, is a bright blue. I love this pop of color as it is kinda of like a surprise when you open the bag!

When you buy from this gym bag from Ogorgeous, it also come along with a longer strap and a mini drawstring bag in a matching color! This bag is perfect for holding my *dirty* running shoes and I can place it into my gym bag without worrying about ruining the inside.
This bag is also perfect if I am carrying any food with me. The drawstring bag will keep my food separate from the rest of the items keeping things neat and tidy.

The longer strap that comes with the bag is a matching color to the outside of the bag. There are metal clasps as the end which easily can be attached to the side of the bag. This extra strap is adjustable in length so it allows you to get whatever length strap you want. I know for me, I prefer a longer strap.

With this bag, I don't have to worry about breaking the straps since they are super strong and made of vegan leather. (which is a durable material that was made without harming animals!)  The material of the bag is defitnately strong enough for me to hold everything I need in my daily life including two water bottles! That is going to be super handy when it is +90 degrees out. I get pretty thirsty in the summer especially after a workout!

Overall, my new Ogorgeous bag is fabulous! I love everything about it and I have no complaints except that I need to start using the bag and showing it off! I think I am in love with it!! I had my eyes on this bag every since it came out and now that I have it, I am ecstatic!
