Now onto my first day of school + my experience this year with Senior year! As you know from my vacation recap, I literally got back the night before school started. It was totally okay with me though since I love being in NY with my cousins. I was a bit sleepy and lethargic the morning before school, but I got quickly got over that since it was in the first day of my senior year!! I had already had an idea of what I was going to wear. I wanted to dress a bit fancy but not over top. Here is what I ended up wearing-
|Loving the effects in this photo!|
I ended up choosing to wear a simple v neck top with this lovely white and blue patterned skirt. I got this skirt right before freshman year and as I was looking through my closet, I came across it and thought that I needed to wear it sometime this year! The skirt is actually really nice quality and I love the way it looks and feels on me! I also was able to start my senior year off with a new backpack!! From my wishlist , I personally really loved the backpack with the polka dots so I actually got a polka dotted backpack myself. It's not the same one since this was is all polka dots but I love it still!
I got my backpack from Forever 21 for ~$30 and it is surprisingly really good quality! As far as durability, I would say that this backpack could last me the whole year, possibly two if I take good care of it. The design of it is super cute and it feels comfy on my back. The only complaint I have is that they need more pockets. The backpack has a mini compartment in the front, two pockets inside and a zipper. My old backpack had 3 separate spaces for my books which was really nice, but this backpack only has 1. This makes it a bit hard for me to keep my things organized as you can tell from the picture. . I end up having to put my makeup bag and water bottle in the same place as my books. This backpack def. holds more than you think it can, but in comparison to my old backpack, it does hold less. I would say that I could fit 2 textbooks, and 3, 1 inch binders in here max. Space isn't that big of an issue for me this year because most of my classes don't require thick books this year, but I would like more pockets to keep my things organized better!
|Gonna need LOTS of note cards for psychology! We have over 400 words to learn!|
My classes these years are going to be challenging, but I also made sure to place off blocks in my schedule! I have 3 AP classes- psychology, Uconn English, and Calculus. So far I have gotten a lot of essays already from English and psychology, but I have managed to get a huge chunk of them done during my off block! The off blocks are really nice because everyday I have ~75 min to do my homework. As long as I get myself to do homework during that time and not talk, I can get A LOT done!
My first day of school itself was pretty average surprisingly. I was excited to see everyone, but once I was sitting in class, I felt like summer never happened. Most of our teacher just spent the class time introducing themselves/their class and then getting to know us. It honestly wasn't that much fun and I thought I was going to fall asleep during one of my classes hehe.. I was too anxious for school to sleep the night before! The thing I was really excited for was my off block and cross country practice! During my off block, I just chilled in the media center, caught up with a few friends, and went online for a while since I didn't have much homework. I found it to be very relaxing! I only have 6 as opposed to 8 classes this year!

It's hard to believe collage is just right around the corner. I have already started trying to get my applications (hello common app!) and scholarship papers together. I have most of my collages picked out already. I think my options are quite limited since I haven't done much outside of school and the cost of collage out of state is double the cost in state! (which is already scary expansive) My number one collage right now is Uconn! I am looking to go to the main campus, but I've looked at other campuses, and they are all really nice! The other collages that I have my eye on are mainly in NY and Massachusetts. I have my eye on Emerson and Boston University. NYU (and Cornell, which I know is not possible) is my reach school and if a miracle happens and I get in... I think I just might go there and forever be in debt!
Backpack- I got my at Forever 21, but this exact bag is currently sold out.
Top- Forever 21
Skirt- Similar @ Charolotte Russe
Do you like my back to school outfit and backpack?
What was your senior year like?
Do you recommend going to collage instate or out of state? I feel like going out of state would be a lot of fun and a chance for me to be independent, but the cost is ridiculous! I should just save up and move to the city after collage hehe!
