Spring Break Vacation Recap!

It's so hard to believe that it's already been a week since I've come home from vacation! (finally a recap haha) My vacation was so much fun and I would give anything to relive it! The week went by in the blink of an eye and now, here I am back to a normal high schoolers life again.
I have been thinking of how to do this post because I have so many pictures and I would like to use all of them, but ~300 pictures in a post probably doesn't sound too pleasing to you guys haha. I looked through all my pictures and picked out a few that I loved and I put them into collages.

This picture shows me and my mommy on the bus to New York. I woke up at 8 to shower and catch the 9:30 bus to New York. The bus ride was a bit boring and long (4 hours b/c of traffic!) , but so worth it. Plus, I got in a good hour or so of sleep!

For my spring break, my cousins invited me to go down to New York. The original plan was for us to all go on vacation together along with another family. Unfortunately those plans sort of fell thorough when we realized that my spring break was 3 weeks after both of there's! Mine was schedule to be mid-April while there's was both at the end of March. However, my cousins still welcomed me to their house where I could chill and tag along with them when they went out! (New York is filled with things to do!!)

I arrived in New York close to 2 pm and was greeted by my cousin. I said my good-byes with my mommy, and my cousin took me out to eat with her family! We had some delicious food at an Asian restaurant. I ordered pho! After the meal, we drove down to NEW JERSEY to see the cherry blossoms at Branch Brook Park!

At the park, we took so many pictures because the cherry blossoms were just oh so gorgeous. My neighbor has a cherry blossom tree which comes into our backyard, but I have never seen so many of these flowers all together at once! It was quite a sight to see!

Our trip to New Jersey was only a day trip which meant we had to go back to their house. However before getting there, we stopped by this Japanese supermarket to pick up dinner. Those supermarkets had the cutest items and even their food was presented in such a cute/neat fashion.

My cousin has a daughter and son now and whenever I go there, I always make sure to bring some makeup along with me. haha  The daughter always loves too see what I brought, but this time, the little boy seemed quite into my makeup products as well. I brought some nail polish and fake princess nails along with 3 EOS's. I think he likes the smell of the mint EOS haha.

She is so cute with her missing two front teeth!
I taught him the peace sign!
Since they weren't on their spring break, the little girl had to go to school on weekdays. It was okay though because I had the opportunity of walking with her to school and walking her back home! I was even able to get a few runs in after I took her to school. I love how New York is filled with people walking everywhere! It seems much funner/maybe friendlier this way! I can def. picture myself living in a city one day!
While she went to school, I spent most of my time with my cousin and her son. Most days, we were able to go out to explore the city. We went to the park, the mall, and the library! It's amazing how all those places are within walking distance! (no more than 20 min!)

Some animals we saw plus Theodore Roosevelt
When the weekend rolled around again, it was time go out! We chose to go down to Manhattan where we checked out the Chelsea market, Central Park, and the Museum of Natural History! The Chelsea Market was filled with delicious eats and some really cool shops. There was one shop in particular that sold cards that I fell in love with. They had the best design ideas! I also fell in love with this gelato shop at the very back of the market. Their frozen treats were to die for!
We stopped by Central park after lunch at the market and right by the park was a museum of natural history which we decided to see. I didn't know what to expect inside so I was in shock when I saw the real dinosaurs bones there! They were huge and def. the main attraction!! We looked around the museum and my personal favorite thing there was the mammals exhibit. At first glance, I realize the animals were real, but once I saw the huge mammoths, I knew they weren't! haha.
For dinner that night, I had the chance to have the 2nd best rated pizza in all of New York. The pizza was huge with an ultra thin crust that was made from a brick oven! I agree with the ratings because this pizza was beyond amazing.
Take a close look at who is inside that purple bus! =0
Some eats we had in NY!
When Sunday rolled around, it was kind of a sad day because it was time for me to go home =( I loved it in New York with my cousins that I was sad to leave. The little girl cried quite a bit when she knew I had to go that it made me feel sad, but special! I can't believe she likes me so much! I cannot wait to be able to go back there again whether that be for a summer vacation or Christmas time! (I'm hoping it's summer and Christmas!!)

What did you guys do for your spring break? (if you have it)
Where was one of your best vacations?

Feeling Like A Princess

Hello everyone!! Guess what, I am back and ready to blog! I miss blogging and I can't wait to get back into it! Currently I am working on getting back into the swing of things as well as dig through my vacation pictures and videos. Originally I was going to do a vacation recap today, but I still haven't gotten my pictures organized so I will be writing that this Sunday! Instead, today I will be showing you an outfit more elegant than usual.

eDressy contacted me last month asking if I would like to partner up with them and I quickly said yes! I was looking for a prom dress at that time and had such an amazing selection of dresses not only for prom, but for other events such as weddings and parties as well. You can even have your dress custom made which I chose to do! Custom making a dress ensures a perfect fit and that is something I am always concerned about. I hate it when the chest area is too big on me and I have too constantly pull my dress up or when the hips are too small and I feel like I am suffocating in my dress. With custom made dresses, this is something I do not have to worry about!

The dress I chose to get was the One Shoulder Chiffon Evening Dress With Beading in the color Fuchsia.  I love the one shoulder neckline. It's so unique and a different option than your typical sweetheart or halter neckline. The beads and sequins on this dress are so pretty!! They add instant glam to the dress and make me feel like a princess. I also adore the color of this dress. the bright pink color reminded me a lot of cherry blossoms and lucky for me, my neighbor has a cherry blossom tree that is in full bloom right now! I took advantage of that fact and went out to take pictures by it!

With my dress, I didn't bother much to add accessories. I found the dress to be quite attention grabbing by itself and I really wanted the embellishments on the dress to stand out. For shoes, I just tossed on a pair of flats with a slight heel to it. I haven't had the time to go out and get prom shoes, but I can def. envision myself wearing a pair of pink colored heels with this beautiful dress!

Once again, I would like to give a huge  thank you to eDressy  for sending this lovely dress to me!
The fit is perfect and flatters my body amazingly! The color of the dress is true to online pictures and the prices are pretty fair!

Dressy- eDressy
Flats- Forever 21

What do you think of my new dress?

Do you have cherry blossoms where you live? If so, have they bloomed yet?

Free Glasses Giveaway!!

Hey Guys!! I am currently on vacation right now in New York, but I really wanted to keep my blog at least semi-updated while I was gone.
Today is sort of a more relaxed day, but yesterday, I got to go to New Jersey and we went to a park just full of Cheery Blossoms!! It was so pretty! I'll be sure to do a full vacation recap the weekend I get back so I can show you guys all those pretty flowers as well as reply to comments. (I'm on an Ipad right now so typing and spell check is extremely difficult haha)

Today's post that I am writing is sponsored by . You guys might remember that review I did of that site a few weeks ago, but if you don't you can check it out here. I loved the glasses they sent me and even brought them along with my regular glasses on vacation! These glasses fit me perfectly and I love the color! It's so bold and unique.

The reason Firmoo contacted me for a collaboration is because they are giving out free glasses and would like me to spread the news to all my readers who want a pair of their own! I am super excited to share this information with you, especially those who are in need of new glasses! Firmoo is not only offering free lenses and free frames, but free shipping as well! So it's basically a completely free pair of glasses for you!

Here is a little bit of what Firmoo says about your glasses along with sample pictures from their site-

How long have you kept your current glasses? I can bet for most of you the last time you
bought a new pair of glasses is three years ago or longer. It is highly suggested by professional
ophthalmologists that you should have a yearly eye exam and replace your glasses regularly to
ensure your eye health. If your prescription has changed but you still wear the old prescription
eyeglasses, you are in high-risk of deteriorating your vision.

Rules For Firmoo crazy giveaway:
1.     It will start at 9:00 am on Apr.16th, and the free eyewear code will be shown on that page right after the giveaway starts. Firmoo gives away certain amount of eyewear each day, so first come, first served.
2.     Furthermore, Firmoo will draw one lucky person per day from those who have shared this page via FB & twitter to win free eyewear.
So are you thinking about getting a pair of new glasses but worried it would cost you an arm and a leg? Head over to  and get your free glasses now!

For all my readers, I will probably will not be posting this Wed. due to my vacation, but I look forward to a vacation recap when I get back!! I already have some super cute pictures of my cousins! (One's 6 years old and the other is 2 years old with adorable puffy cheeks haha.. I am strange I know, but his cheeks really are huge!)

Will you be participating in this amazing giveaway?
Did you guys do anything for spring break or are you on break now like me?

Pulling Off A Colorful Scarf

Scarves are one of my favorite fashion piece to wear for all seasons! (well except summer!) They come in so many different colors and forms and add pizzazz to an otherwise plain outfit.  Scarves are especially perfect for times when it is somewhat warm outside, but the winter wind still looms around just like what I am experience right now!!

I got this scarf last year from Shabby Apple. I had a little giftcard to the store so I decided to use it to get this  lovely piece! Shabby Apple in my opinion is a bit on the higher range in prices, but the quality of the items is really nice! The scarf I chose is from Shabby Apple's fall line and is sadly unavailable right now. This scarf is a bright yellow color and reminds me a lot of the leaves at fall time! On the scarf are designs in black and a contrasting purple. The designs remind me of fall as well since I think they kinda look like leaves!

For me, when it comes to colorful things such as my scarf, I like to tone the rest of my other clothes down. This way, I don't look like an explosion of colors and so I can shift all the focus of my outfit onto that colorful piece. As you can see here, I kept the rest of my outfit quite simple by wearing a pair of skinny jeans and a long sleeved black top. For shoes, I had on a pair of boots. I finished off the look with a gold colored bracelet. (.. made by me in jewelry class! )

As I am writing my post today, I realize that it's Wed. which means in less than 72 hours, I will be in New York for spring break! I honestly cannot wait! Over break, I don't know whether or not I will be posting ... I was thinking about making some post ahead of time or maybe even letting my sister guest post on it for that week... hmm? What do you guys think? My sister has her own blog, but she is a bit shy to share it so I wonder if I can convince her otherwise!

Who here is a fan of Scarves?
What do you think I should do with my blog when I go on spring break? Should I not post, try posting via  Ipad, or let my sister post?? =)

Lovely Lace~

Hey guys!!! I can't believe April is already here! It's crazy how fast this year is already going by! Last night, I finished my last post on the instagram account @Faviana_stylist. It was definitely a fun experience and I really am going to miss posting there! I'm not sure if I am making it to the next round, (I'll find out around the end of April/beginning of May) but I do want to give a few thank you's to some of my  followers who I noticed helped me out!

I wanted to give a big thank you to-
KLee over at
Louise at  and
Chaereen at
I really appreciate you guys liking/comment/following my post!!
After my last purchase at Sugarlips, I decided to try ordering from them again. This time I chose the Pretty Pleated dress.

Unlike last time, I chose to get a size small instead of an extra small and I must say, it fits a lot better! The chest area is a bit loose, but I would rather take that over a tight fit on my ribs/waist. I know I say this about everything I get, but I am in love with this dress!! The color is an off white/almost cream looking color with a black belt on the waist. The design of the dress is gorgeous. It's a lovely lace pattern which I love because it looks so elegant!

Taking these photos was a lot of fun! I loved being outside with the sun shining down on me! It still was chilly outside because the winds were ~15-17 mph, but the sun made up for it! Our grass is finally growing as well and I love it! It's such a rich green color and it reminds me of spring. I hope I actually get to experience a real spring this year. Living in the Northeast usually means bitter/snowy winters (which I kinda like) until March and then out of nowhere, sizzling hot summer temperatures. We tend to skip over spring weather and jump from winter to summer. If you know me, you know how much I dread hot temperatures. I don't want to go outside when it's 80+ outside, but at the same time, spending all day inside with an air conditioner doesn't sound too pleasing either.

For my outfit today, I paired my Sugarlips dress with my black flats. For jewelry, I wore a gold bracelet and a rose gold colored ring. I really liked the way my gold bracelet contrasted with the dress. For my nails, I am  wearing the color Tart Deco by Essie and on my lips I have on the lipstick in the color Flame by Covergirl. This nail polish color is very pretty! In my opinion, it looks like a coral color with a touch of salmon.

This photo is from my Instagram, but I have to say, I have been experimenting with making collages with pictures of my outfits! I find it to be an easy way to show all the detail of my outfit in one picture.

What do you guys think? Do you like the concept of placing more than one photo together?

Dress- The dress is out of stock, but I got it from Sugarlips.
Shoes- Forever 21
Bracelet- Forever 21

What do you guys think of the dress?

Ashley Benson Gave ME a Shout-Out + My Faviana Prom Dress!!

I was actually planning to do an outfit post today, but I found out some amazing information yesterday that I just HAVE TO share with you guys! I was thinking about ways to build up the curiosity from my lovely readers, but I am just too excited... So here I go...  I just got a SHOUT-OUT from ASHLEY BENSON and a FREE PROM DRESS picked out by her from FAVIANA!
Here are some snapshots of the shout-outs Ashley gave me-

On Facebook
On Twitter
On Instagram
I cannot believe this just happened because I am still on cloud 9 right now!! For those of you who don't know who Ashley Benson is, she is an actress. I first discovered her on Bring it on (although I didn't know her that well). I became a fan of hers when I watched her in the show Pretty Little Liars. She plays one of the main characters, Hanna. The show is about a group of girls who are haunted by the death of one of their members. However, the haunting comes from someone who is alive. That person, A, threatens to tell the secrets of all the girls if they do not do what A wants. The girls are determined to figure out who A is without letting their secrets be revealed. If you haven't seen the show before and have time, you should def. give it a try!
It's so shocking to see how someone so famous noticed me and gave me a shoutout! I actually entered a contest hosted by Faviana a few weeks back ago on Instagram. There would be 5 winners and a grand prize winner. To my surprise, I was the grand prize winner with this photo here-

I hoped to be one of the winners, but I did not expect the grand prize at all! Being the grand prize winner, I was able to receive a shout-out from Faviana and Ashley as well as a free prom dress chosen by Ashley herself!! I have been contemplating going to prom for a while, but seeing now as I have an awesome dress, I guess I have to go! Who cares if I don't have a date? haha The dress that I will be receiving is style number 7182-

I am choosing to get this dress in a rich blue color rather than gold as blue works really well on my skin. Ashley has stated that this is her favorite dress and I can see why! This dress is simple, but elegant. It provides a perfect blend of sexy and classy! The back to this dress is open which I love because now I can show off my back haha. I don't want to spam you guys with too much photos, so you can click the link to the dress to check out other angles of this beautiful dress!

Honestly I feel so ecstatic right now. I don't think can make me upset!! My instagram last night was blowing up with comments, likes, and followers every second. It was crazy and I feel kinda famous right now... haha. I am so thankful to Faviana and Ashley for giving me this prize! I will be attending prom now (even if I am dateless) and I will take hundreds of photos of my dress and I to share with you guys!! I cannot wait!

In other news, I recently played around with photoshop/photo editor and made this little pic that you see on the side! I always see other people with pictures like this and I wonder, how do they make that? haha. Well now I know how to make my own!

As of now, I am part of Face Of Faviana Contest. The winner of this gets to meet Ashley in person and have a photo shoot with her! I doubt I will win, but it's worth a try right? For round 2 of this competition, I need to manage one of Faviana's accounts. If you would like to help me out in this contest, you could follow me on instagram here -@mindy13579
Starting tomorrow, I will be managing their account. I will post the link to their account tomorrow on my instagram. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys could help me out! Thank you guys and I hope you enjoyed my random, spontaneous post !!

Did you guys ever attend prom? How was your experience?
What do you think of the dress Ashley picked out for me?
